What is CAMP?
Calibration And Methodology Program
This program is custom-designed to provide dental hygiene educators with valuable education in the areas of adult teaching methodology and faculty calibration.
Combining didactic and hands-on learning exercises, CRDTS CAMP meets CODA Standards 3 - 6. At the conclusion of this event, attendees receive 3 hours of continuing education. Programs Directors are provided a comprehensive report that you can use for your CODA self-study requirements.

Do not pass this opportunity by, you need to do this! This was such an awakening to have this experience as a clinical instructor. It is a wonderful hands-on opportunity for educators to go through. At the end of the bootcamp I was humbled, now knowing a little of what students are exploring and feeling with their tactile sensitivity using the models as each of them complete calculus detection and scaling. Attending CRDTS CAMP was an exceptional experience for me as a dental hygiene program director and for the dental hygiene faculty who attended. The faculty appreciated having an opportunity to take time away from teaching the students so that we could calibrate as a team.
As a group, not only did we calibrate our skill sets, but we also learned about best practices in teaching methodology and how to engage adult learners. Most importantly, we gleaned a better understanding of how we stacked up, with regard to the delivery of our curriculum, against other Dental Hygiene programs. We learned that we were on the right track. However, we still have room for improvement, and we hope to revisit CRDTS CAMP again in the near future so that we can continue our efforts to grow and build our dental hygiene program and create successful outcomes for our students."
